2.Create A Great Resume
Personal In formation:
Make sure your contact details are correct
Indicate your availability (all our stores open 7 days a week with late night trading)
List your current and previous work experience in reverse chronological order (most recent first!).
Detail the company name, your position title and how long you’ve been there (For example: April 2015 – August 2016).
Ensure you provide at least 2—3 referees who is familiar with your abilities and can provide comments on your work performance.
It is important that your referees are aware and are happy for potential employers to make contact with them.
Although professional referees (a manager, team leader or supervisor) are preferred, but we appreciate this isn’t always possible for someone who is looking for their first ever job or someone who is re-entering the workforce after an extended absence.
Elaborate resumes are not necessarily a winner, as it can detract from the content. Keep it simple!
Your resume should be saved in either .doc .docx or PDF format to ensure we can open it.
Be prepared! Know the brand, understand the role and showcase your strength.
Get familiar with the location, plan you route and allow yourself plenty of time to get there.
Dress for success! Make sure your appearance is neat and tidy and your attire is work appropriate. Smart casual preferred, so no ripped jeans,tank tops or excessive jewellery.
Don’t be afraid to ask questions. This will help you better assess whether if we’re the right company for you!
